About Central Integrated Primary School

Central Integrated Primary School is a co-educational controlled primary school which opened in February 1953 to cater for the educational needs of children who lived in the town centre. Today pupils travel from around the town and beyond to the school.

There are 9 classrooms in a two storey building, a hall/gymnasium and a dining hall.

The school accommodates the Greengables Play Group in two of its classrooms.

Central Integrated Primary School sets out to create a caring and supportive environment where all children can develop to the best of their ability to achieve success in the opportunities offered to them.

Children have opportunities to participate in a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular activities. The school has a long tradition of music with an award winning choir.

The school recognises the value of experience beyond the classroom with all pupils benefiting from visits to places of interest. Year 6 and 7 pupils are given the opportunity to travel to Britain.

There is a thriving PTA which makes a valuable contribution towards the social and educational development of the school.

Visitors are warmly invited to meet with the Principal, Mrs N Hall, to view the school.
