Anti-Bullying Week

16th Nov 2022

Apples and cream, what could go wrong? We thought we'd have a practical lesson to demonstrate what bullying is like and how it can cause unseen damage.

We used a lovely apple and passed it around the class. As we passed it around, we insulted it and said mean things to it. The shiny apple was still lovely on the outside but when we cut it open something was wrong. It was bruised and brown. This was to demonstrate the impact that less physical forms of bullying can have.

We also used squirty cream to demonstrate how messy bullying can be. The kids squirted all the cream out (it was easy) but then they were asked to put it back in. This is when it got very messy. This was to show that it's very difficult to take things back when they have been done. Bullying is messy.
