Welcome to the Primary 5/6 class page!

Our teacher is Mr. Martin and our classroom assistants are Miss Wright and Mrs. Vennard. 

This term, our class is exploring the exciting topic of Space and Our Solar System. We’ve been learning all about the planets, the Sun, the Moon, and what it takes to explore the vast universe beyond Earth. We even plan to build working rockets!

To support our learning, we’ve been reading the class novel 'The Kid Who Came from Space'. This imaginative story links beautifully with our topic and has sparked lots of great discussions and ideas.

We’ve also been working hard to develop our mental math skills, using fun games and our daily Tough Ten challenges to sharpen our thinking and build confidence with numbers.

In literacy, we’re focusing on developing our reading skills and expanding our vocabulary. Through shared reading, independent tasks, and vocabulary challenges, we’re becoming more confident and curious readers.

It’s been a fantastic start to the term, and we’re excited to keep learning, exploring, and reaching for the stars!
